Your Bio

I have been traveling and photographing the world for over 40 years as a Professional wildlife biologist. Most of my images are in film which I am slowly sorting and scanning. Here is my start at Digital. I hope you enjoy them. I do not do studio work but am available for outdoor portraits, weddings, or photo assignments anywhere in the world. I am currently using Canon 30D camera with 2.8 70-200 zoom as my principal lens. If interested please contact me at environmentalperspectives@comcast.net. All photographs are copyright protected and are sold under the conditions stated only. I also do consulting on a number of landuse and environmental issues, including fish and wildlife habitats, grazing plans, site evaluations and impact statements.

I welcome any and all comments or criticisms, Digital is a continual learning process. Several galleries contain the orginal image and a photoshop version please comment.

marine life : Images from underwater, around the water and critters that live near the sea. I have over 400 dives logged. I tried underwater photography and didn't like it. Your time is so limited underwater and there is so much to see I can's spend it focusing on a 2 inch shrimp. If you like underwater photography I recommend Chris Newbert. (deceased)

Nepal : Digitized slides, from a working vacation to Nepal in 1990. I was a guest of the King (now deposed by Marxist gov) we traveled in the Kumbu of the Himalayas for four weeks working with the locals on a Musk Deer Project. This little deer has a gland like a belly button that secrets musk. Highly valuable it is used in the perfume business. The deer live in the birch forsest below 14,000 feet in the Kumbu.

Thailand : Photos from several trips to Thailand. Photos of Loi Kratong Festival of Lights in Chang Mai on Ping River. This festival gives thanks to the goddess of water. She is honored by floating offerings made from banana trees full of leaves, money, flowers, candles and incense down the river. These offerings are also made of bread to give something back to the fish. Paper ballons are sent airborne by flaming rings that carry away the bad luck of last year and bring in good luck for this year. The mountain pictures are from a small town of Pai. Other images are from Mai Hong Son and the hill country of Northwest part of Thailand. Beach images are from Kho Lhanta a small Island in the southern end of the Adaman Sea
